Fighting Prowess: Calvin Rose is a very capable fighter. Perhaps not on the level of those in the very upper echelons of his universe, but Calvin spent his teenage and very young adult years learning how to kill a man through any means necessary. Going through the gauntlet of the Court of Owls and becoming their Talon is a rigorous process that included killing his own predecessor, a very capable martial artist in their own right. Although he shies away from killing these days, this does not take away from his own fighting ability.
Escapology: Calvin was tapped to become a Talon due to his high level of skill in escapology, and before he had been trained by the Court of Owls, was an accomplished escape artist for Haly's Circus. He's been shown to be able to get out of a wide variety of restraints with ease by this skill, from things as simple as being bound with simple rope to high tech means of restraint.
Lock Picking: Tied in with escapology. Calvin is very adept at picking locks, from the simple to complex. The skill has come in handy for him, from escape artistry to theft.
Acrobatics: Calvin is also a decent acrobat, as shown by his ability to freely move both as a Talon and throughout various training methods, including swinging from a trapeze while still heavily restrained. This comes from both his training as a Talon (who are often chosen from and trained by circus performers) as well as his time spent as a performer at Haly's Circus.
Detective work: Shown throughout his own comic series. Calvin is able to study and make logical inferences from his surroundings, be this to find the most efficient route through an area to tracking someone he is chasing after. This skill has garnered him respect from peers and enabled his entry into Batman, Incorporated.
Subterfuge: Calvin was trained to be an assassin for the Court of Owls, a secret society working behind the scenes of Gotham to guide it in the direction they see fit. Knowledge of their presence in the city was at one point a highly-guarded secret. As such, their enforcers were trained to be able to move through areas and deal with situations in such a way that their presence would never be detected or questioned. This has also created a great skill of infiltration, having shown on various occasions the ability to slip past even the highest levels of structural security, electronic or otherwise.
_PERSONALITY:
Calvin Rose has led a hard life. Because of this, his own personality has become somewhat jaded and mistrustful of most people he runs into. This is evidenced often when he comes into contact with new people. He either outright tries to shun their help or keep them at arm's length, such as when he first comes into contact with former Grand Master of the Court of Owls Sebastian Clark. Due to the man's past and Calvin's experiences, he first tries to refuse the man's offers and advances until he comes to realize they want the same things. This is also true of some of his own comrades he learns to work with when allying with his love interest Casey Washington. While their help is necessary, it takes coercion to actually have Calvin agree to work alongside them.
His own distrust of people often starts to wear out when he starts talking with people on a personal level, however. Once proven capable and respectful of Calvin and his talents, he usually becomes friendly and welcoming of them, even as he tries to place a bit of a barrier between himself and them. It's been shown to be a defense mechanism Calvin employs to ensure that he doesn't hurt the people he cares about. Even though he's escaped life as an assassin, he's still a wanted man by the Court of Owls, and they've shown willingness to murder people he knows even at small levels.
Calvin doesn't take to being confined very well. As a child he was imprisoned in a dog kennel and left for dead, forced to escape using nothing more than a rock against a rusted chain. Since then, his need to move and keep running has been a driving force in his life while fostering the urge to help those who have been wronged. Because of this ordeal, when brought under the care of an escape artist in the circus, Calvin insisted on learning the tools of his trade in order to never feel trapped again. This sentiment was exploited and distorted by the Court of Owls, which led to his own training to become an assassin. Though he was trained to kill, once actually faced with that necessity, he grew to dislike it immensely. He abhors murder, and the first time someone died by his own hand forced him into a deep depression that kept his mind clouded, realizing he was once again being used and trapped mentally, if not physically.
Despite this, a part of Calvin still believes in the best of everyone, having shown on several occasions to try and plead to the better nature of people to varying degrees of success. This isn't to say he trusts them, but rather that he's willing to believe in other people in ways that few have afforded him in kind.
There are times when Calvin appears a bit cocky and overconfident. Much of the time this is a genuine aspect. He believes in himself and his own skills, but a part of him still lingers that hates himself and is unsure of the path he's taken. While he has a few people these days that he would stand and fight for, the most important ones by far are Casey and Sarah Williams, the two people he was sent to kill on his first assignment in order to end their bloodline. Their innocence was what convinced him fully to leave the Court, and he eventually fell in love with Casey. He ran from them to protect the two, though eventually returned, Casey in turn breaking down the barriers that Calvin had put before them. He would and has died in order to protect them, and would willingly do so again.
At first Calvin preferred to work alone, but through Casey and meeting her team did he learn the value of teamwork. Particularly this has worked well in conjunction to working with Anya Volkova on various missions, who like him learned to value life over murder, and what kind of things one can accomplish when willing to work together. This in turn led to him becoming a member of Batman, Incorporated, a team of vigilantes committed to the ongoing goal of bringing justice to places where little is found. It's not obvious at first blush, but Calvin really does have a thirst for life, values people for who they are, and has learned to enjoy having them around him when he learns that they can stay safe.

Talon Costume: The suit he wears when working under the capacity of his Talon identity. The suit is lightweight and flexible to allow for maximum maneuverability, though does provide some resistance to damage. The arms and upper body are reinforced with light scale armor for further protection.
Goggles: Provide minor eye protection from attacks as well as from environmental effects. Also capable of seeing in non-visible spectra, such as infrared.
Gear: The following are various weapons and items being brought in with Calvin.
-Throwing Knives (10) Placed along the torso of Calvin's suit. Can be used in melee or ranged combat.
-Electronic scramblers (finite) designed to interfere with various electronic surveillance including regular cameras, infrared, and thermal vision. These work only once upon use and are thrown; intended for quick escapes. The tech is assumed to short out quickly after activation.
-Grapnel Gun (Reusable) used for rappelling and scaling various large verticle surfaces.
-Lock picks (1 Set) Contains a wide variety of picks and torsion wrenches for locks of any size and make.
